2024, Maison Benjamin Leroux, NUITS-SAINT-GEORGES, 1er Cru, 'Aux Boudots'

One barrel from 0.80ha. A more normal purple and a touch of oak on the nose, but this is super-concentrated too. Waves of dark red fruit flow across the palate, and with very good acidity too. This is more in the line of a standard vintage but with extra concentration. Drink from 2032-2038.

The 2024 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Boudots 1er Cru, which was completely de-stemmed, has a refined bouquet with ample red berry fruit: mulberry and raspberry, touches of potpourri and dark chocolate in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, quite focused and with good tension, transparent in style with a poised finish. Just 240 litres produced. Yep, litres.
