    • The Burgundy region of France is known for its white grape varieties, such as Aligoté and Chardonnay, as well as its red wine varietals Gamay Noir and Pinot Noir.  
    • Interesting red wine grapes grown in the Rhone Valley: Carignan, Cinsault, Grenache, Merlot, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Valcluse. Or sample the Rhone Valley’s white varietals and styles, like Bourboulenc, Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Marsanne, and Viognier.  
    • The Champagne wine region produces its famous bubbles from white Chardonnay grapes and red Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes.

Typical Italian grown white varietals includes Arneis, Soave, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Verdicchio, Vermentino and Viognier.  
    • Portugal is famed for its red wine varietals such as Alicante Bouschet, Sousão, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional.
