Merlot
The noble cousin of Cabernet Sauvignon, and the main ingredient of the wines of the Right Bank - Saint Emilion and Pomerol. Earlier ripening with a fleshier texture it forms the entire grape base of the famous Chateau Petrus. Used as a blend in the Medoc to soften the Cabernet.
