Graves
Also known as Pessac-Leognan as it sits between these two villages to the southwest of Bordeaux on deep gravel soil - hence the name Graves. First growth Ch. Haut-Brion is almost in the city of Bordeaux itself - due to urban spread. Other names include La Mission Haut-Brion, Haut Bailly and closer to Leognan - Smith Haut Lafitte and Domaine de Chevalier. White wine from Graves is also exceptional.
