En-Primeur Rhone
One of the country’s most ancient wine-growing areas, the Rhône wine region stretches along the Rhône River to the Mediterranean Sea in southern France. The mighty river that gives the region its name feeds and shapes its landscape of steeply-terraced vineyards and the character of its wines. Indigenous "Rhône Grape" varieties and terroirs inspire the famous Rhône style. The major red grape is Grenache followed by Syrah, Carignan, and Mourvedre. Typical white wines are made up of Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Ugni Blanc, Bourboulenc, Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier.
Our Rhône En Primeur offering includes exceptional wines from producers such as Domaine Paul Avril, Château de Beaucastel and Odyssée (a Rhône and Médoc collaboration). These wines exhibit well-defined flavours that faithfully express their terroir. Alcohol and acidity levels are carefully balanced, making them both delicious and age-worthy.
