Peter Maude Fine Wines

2024, Maison Benjamin Leroux, MEURSAULT, 'Les Vireuils'

$162

The last vintage of purchased grapes here, because they have now bought the vineyard (0.82ha). Pale lemon yellow. A little more body compared to the village Meursault, a raft of white limestone fruit, with good acidity to finish.
**** 90-92 Jasper Morris MW

The 2024 Meursault Les Vireuils (which will be owned by Leroux from the 2025 vintage) has a taut and very minerally bouquet, more austere than the Village, focused with fine energy. The palate is fresh with fine grip, quite sapid and focused, gaining weight towards the persistent finish. Excellent.
