A perfumed, cool, pure and elegant nose displays vaguely exotic notes of white peach, passion fruit, honeysuckle and quinine, all of which is trimmed in an appealing touch of mineral reduction. The ultra-dense flavours are borderline aggressively stony, which adds a sense of lift to the bitter citrus-inflected finish. It will show better once in bottle as the characteristics of the 2024 vintage should play to the innate strengths of Vaudésir.
91-94 Allen Meadows, Burghound

Three barrels made. More lemon than lime in colour, with density. The nose is growing just slowly. Now some yellow fruit but with a bit of honeysuckle. The vineyard is very steep on the south-west facing side, so it gets ripe yet keeps the stones. A wealth of fruit, almost a touch oily, significant grip behind, and leaves saline taste on the lips. Drink from 2029-2035.
