2024, Domaine William Fèvre, CHABLIS, 1er Cru, 'Beauroy'

There is a touch of phenolic character and a vague exotic character suffusing the aromas of white peach, quinine and citrus confit. The rich, dense and powerful larger-bodied flavours also possess excellent concentration before concluding in a sappy, bright and firm finale. This is an unusually good example of the climat and recommended.

10 hl/ha, at the Poinchy end of Troesmes. 1.10ha of 60-year-old vines. Mid lemon yellow, less nose than the Chablis. Fuller than many from this part of Chablis, without losing elegance. A citrus touch refreshes the finish which is persistent. Drink from 2027-2031.
