The 2024 Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru has an aromatic bouquet with bunches of red roses infusing the plush red berry fruit, perhaps the most exotic and charming among Tollot-Beaut's cuvées, though the straight Corton has marginally more delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins. This is struck through with bright acidity and feels fluid and tensile on the finish. Maybe the 2023 has a bit more panache but this is still a very well crafted Corton-Bressandes. 92-94 Neal Martin, Vinous (2026).

No deeper in colour, and the oak shows just a little on the nose. This is taking just a little longer to reveal itself. Perhaps slightly denser on the palate, without being a weighty Corton, but at this stage lacking the effortless style of the straight Corton. *** 90-93 Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy (2025).

Ooh – panoramic width – and so perfumed – what a great introduction. Next level fluidity and mouth-watering complexity. Yes – it’s a great one !! Bill Nanson.
