2024, Domaine Pernot Belicard, PULIGNY-MONTRACHET, 1er Cru, 'Les Pucelles' (Family Negoce)

1.5 Ha. Moving from Négoce into a Domaine holding. 

The 2024 Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles 1er Cru is another cuvée that is technically négociant, as the fruit is bought from his father, though it will revert to Domaine once the holdings are divided. This has a little more intensity than the Folatières, again very well defined, here a tad richer and more intense in style. The palate is lively and fresh, well defined and vibrant, quite spicy in the mouth with good intensity on the finish. This has real style and grace – excellent. 2027-2046.

Juice from the family domaine in 2024, but a plot of two ouvrées will become domaine from 2025. Lifted fruit with a top note of spice and sherbet, a solid dense body of fruit, pears, apples and a few golden berries as well. Adequate acidity and length. Pucelles shows its class. Drink from 2030-2036.
