The 2024 Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseignères is the maiden release from a parcel inherited from Philippe's father, Paul Pernot. Quite refreshing and malic in style, gaining intensity in the glass with touches of nettle and white flowers. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, a lovely creamy texture counterbalanced by fine lines of acidity, gently fanning out with a lightly spiced but lingering finish. This is excellent. 2027-2042.

Enseignères is new this year. Mid lemon yellow. There is a suggestion of weight to come from the nose. Maybe the oak is a touch more apparent. The weight does indeed appear, plus some vanilla, on the nose. More backward, more flesh. Drink from 2028-2033.
