Guillaume d'Angerville farms more than a hectare of white grapes in Santenots, originally planted with Chardonnay by his grandfather in 1905.

More colour, with slight reduction on the nose that blows off. Cleaner on the palate though there is a residue at the finish. There is a good weight of orchard fruit, and a fine acid balance. Drink from 2028-2032.

The 2024 Meursault Santenots 1er Cru had just a light reduction on the nose, touches of yellow fruit and grilled hazelnuts, a minor smokiness. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, fresh and focused, perhaps just requiring a little more mineralité to come through on the finish but a step up from the previous vintage overall.
90-92 Neal Martin.

Gently reductive at first, with smoky, leesy tones to the fore. The palate shows polished stones, golden citrus and moderate density. Pure, cleansing and traditionally styled, with impressive clarity.
