Medium deep ruby purple. Plenty of oak here for once. Three barrels including a one-year-old. Weight and class on the palate, lifted raspberries, needs more time but excellent potential. 70% whole bunch vinification. Drink from 2030-2038.
**** 92-95 Jasper Morris MW

A slightly riper and definitely spicier nose features notes of jasmine tea, sandalwood and a blend of both red and dark cherry. The rich, caressing and voluminous flavours possess slightly better mid-palate density if not quite the same overtly minerality on the impressively persistent, well-balanced and stylish finish that is clearly built-to-age. Excellent potential.
91-94 Burghound. Sweet Spot Outstanding

The 2024 Morey-Saint-Denis Genavrières 1er Cru is the penultimate vintage; the last will be 2025. This has a glorious bouquet with cranberry and raspberry fruit, crushed stone and a hint of pressed rose petals. Superb delineation and focus. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins. Lovely weight, very pure fruit with the 80% whole cluster deftly subsumed towards the silky finish. Superb.
92-94 Neal Martin.
