6 instead of 13 barrels. Very healthy fruit. An imperial purple in colour. 70% whole bunch vinification. This has a powerful depth of raw silk dark red fruit, with some of the characteristic blueberries. A fine firmer structure, fills the palate, and lingers. Drink from 2032-2040.
**** 95-97 Jasper Morris MW

A perfumed, airy and beautifully layered nose derives more from the red side of the fruit spectrum with additional notes of spice, floral, earth and a hint of smoked game. The succulent and round larger-bodied flavours are also quite generously proportioned while displaying solid power on the seductively textured, youthfully austere and sneaky long finish that is also clearly built-to-age. Lovely.
91-94 Burghound.

The 2024 Clos-de-la-Roche Grand Cru has an exquisite bouquet that is a level-up from the Charmes-Chambertin: effervescent and vibrant, hints of blood orange infusing the red fruit, exquisite delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with silky tannins, wonderful structure, more intensity and density with the 80% whole cluster towards the harmonious finish. Outstanding for the vintage.
