The 2024 Auxey-Duresses Village suffered less mildew damage due to steep slopes and is aged in around 20% new oak. It has a pleasant nose, good intensity for a Village Cru, potpourri bubbling up amongst the red fruit. Fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with quite thick, grippy tannins, making this feel more like a Premier Cru. Quite compact on the finish, this should fan out after bottling. Very satisfying.

Full purple with a brighter rim. Rather dense, nuts and chocolate nose. Currently quite a lot of oak but this will refine. Crunchy red fruit with an iron blood orange aspect. Tasted Oct 2025.
*** 87-89 Jasper Morris MW.

A super-fresh nose reflects notes of just turned earth, the essence of red cherry and a whiff of humus. The sleek, delicious and vibrant lighter weight flavours do possess a relatively refined mouthfeel thanks mainly to the fine-grained tannins shaping the youthfully austere finale.
