Mid lemon yellow. A third completely different nose out of the three -Montrachet Grands Crus, a bit of bacon fat, with a touch of viognier. Very good tension, perhaps the best fruit acid balance between the three, with a really interesting complex finish, more interest here than we have seen in the past. Drink from 2030-2037.

The 2024 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru has a little more reduction on the nose compared to the Bienvenue, though there is clearly plenty of intense citrus fruit, orange blossom and a whiff of struck match. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, quite lively with good weight, although I am seeking just a little more precision and terroir expression on the finish at the moment. Give this three to four years in bottle.
