Lots of sedimentation and marne here from the collapse of the Musigny mountain – rocky and chalky. Translucent mid-ruby. Quite reductive nose. Red cherries with mid-palate juiciness.Spicy, floral, chalky, lingering, long with textured taninns. Still a baby as you would expect! Tasted April 2025, Katharine Maude.

Firm reduction overshadows the fruit today. By contrast, there is fine freshness and energy to the bigger-bodied and more concentrated flavors that possess equally good intensity that enlivens the overtly austere, compact and built-to-age finale that offers just a bit more depth.
