The 2024 Sociando-Mallet is elegant, polished and very sophisticated. Fine tannins wrap around a solid base of dark plum, lavender, mocha, liquorice and mint. The 100% new oak is barely perceptible. Floral and saline undertones shape the long, beautifully persistent finish. This is a super-impressive Sociando.

Attractive aromatics here, this has gentle smoke, grilled cedar and cloves, clear oak influence but one that is extremely well handled, adding a layer of interest and complexity over the soft berry fruits. Great job from Sociando in this challenging vintage, and fans of this wine will find plenty of estate typicity. 2027-2036.
