Bordeaux Blend: 80% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Semillon.

White wines have been grown at Grand Village since the 17th Century but gradually gave way to red. In the 1990s Sylvie and Jacques started replanting some of the vineyards with Sauvignon and Semillon, knowing that the vineyards showed great potential to make a fresh, youthful style of white wine. Ten years later vine stock from Sancerre was added by Baptiste and Julie which added extra layers of richness and complexity.

Fragrant aromatics on the opening, grated coconut, citrus, lime zest, soft ginger, white pear, this is great quality, sappy and moreish. 50% barrels, 50% stainless steel, 1.8ha of clay limestone, Harvest 5 to 11 September. Small part from Sancerre massal selections, 52h/h yield, Lafleur team.

The 2024 Grand Village Blanc was picked from September 5 to 11. This has a vivacious bouquet with lime flower, honeysuckle and light wild peach notes that are beautifully defined. The palate is fresh and vibrant with a lightly spiced opening. It is delineated with just a dab of orange rind on the finish. The 2024 is irresistible.
