A crimson ruby. A little wilder than the Chambertin duo, a little plummier, softly ripe raspberries, a range of interesting complex aromatics. Builds fascinatingly on the palate, possibly a higher pH but thoroughly rewarding, with a complex texture as well, multi-layered, and very long. **** 94-96 Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy.

The 2023 Bonnes Mares Grand Cru is a gorgeous, finessed wine from this site. Blue/purplish fruit, lavender, sweet spice and liquorice all grace the palate. The 2023 exudes striking inner perfume. There's a ton of elegance here, I would like to see more depth and structure in Bonnes Mares. 91-93 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.
