Peter Maude Fine Wines
2023, Domaine Tribut-Dauvissat, CHABLIS, 1er Cru, 'Beauroy'
The pale lemon-yellow hue belies the potent aromas of white peach, green apple, oyster shell and white blossoms packed into this delicious wine. The texture is creamy and deep, yet the vibrant acidity draws it to an impressively long finish. The grapes are from 0.65ha spread over several parcels on different soil types, bringing diversity and depth to the wine. Wait at least two years to open this delightful bottle and enjoy it over the next 10-20 years. 2028-2045

There is a vague suggestion of the exotic on the aromas of white peach, dried apricot, acacia and solid Chablis typicity. The mouthfeel of the medium weight flavours is also round, sappy and succulent with more evident minerality suffusing the lingering and refreshingly dry finale. This should drink well young and with 5 to 8 years of keeping. 2029+

Similar terroir to Côte de Léchets, but a bit more argilles-blanches. Otherwise, it’s the same exposure, 400-metres as the crow flies. Extra breadth and airy freshness. Ooh – much more direct – that’s a beauty – classic, delicious and crisp – that’s a super 23.
