More blue clays here. From the west to the east, vines in the middle of the appellation.
Here the wood treatment is more prominent though it stops short of being invasive on the aromas of pretty white flower, mineral reduction, pear and a hint of anise. The super-sleek, intense and detailed flavours possess good power that carries over to the stony and impressively long finish where the wood reflected by the nose slowly re-emerges. 2031+

Issuing from 40-year-old vines in the middle of the climat with clay-rich soils, the 2023 Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot is another success. Opening in the glass to reveal notes of white flowers, grapefruit peel and white peach, it’s medium to full-bodied, bright and precise, structured around racy acidity and chalky extract. It’s tensile and saline, slightly more compact than the richer, more muscular Vaudésir and Les Clos tasted alongside it.

Light floral nose with moment of frangipane. Cool, creamy oyster shells, beautiful acidity, the minerality drives through the mid palate. Nice zestiness and spice in the long finish.
