100% Chenin Blanc. Domaine de la Pierre Gravée takes its name from its unique cellar, carved directly into the tufa rock. Owned by Philippe Guyonnet, the vineyards cover 16 hectares. Their dry Chenin wine comes from 50-year-old vines planted on flinty clay soils in the Vouvray appellation. Fermented with native yeasts and left unfined and unfiltered. “Inspirations” presents enticing aromas of pear and other yellow fruits, a lovely dry palate with a fine tension that lingers. Very pale gold in colour. Subtle aromas with hints of pear and a little spice start to emerge. A little floral fills the palate, with a lovely rounded citrus finish.
