The 2021 Côte-Rôtie La Mouline begins aromatically with finely shaped wood smoke, cloves, red plum, black cherry and tints of white pepper. Mid-bodied, round and refreshing, the 2021 is an elegant La Mouline, tidily underpinned by a bright core of fresh acidity. Cask sample. Expressive, floral nose – rose hip, violet, perfume and liquorice. A tightly wound, but lovely, palate. Seamless tannins, which are so delicate and pretty.
