Peter Maude Fine Wines
2024, Domaine du Pélican, ARBOIS, Pinot Noir, 'Clos Saint-Laurent'
From the domaine’s Clos Saint Laurent parcel located behind the winery, at an altitude of approximately 340-380 m. The soil is made of fallen rocks of Bajocian limestone over grey marls (Lias) and the vines are between 10 and 45 years old. Elevage is in Burgundian barrels (60%) and 40% in a vat. No new oak is used.
The 2024 Arbois Pinot Noir Clos Saint-Laurent reveals open-knit aromas of cranberry, red cherry and pomegranate in a finely delineated profile. Sleek tannins frame and lend definition to the medium-bodied palate. The 2024 finishes long, smooth and utterly refined. 91 Nicolas Greinacher, Vinous (2026)
