Saturated ruby. Heady, complex scents of red berry preserves, cherry pit, vanilla and pipe tobacco. Chewy, deeply pitched cherry and black raspberry flavours are given spine by juicy acidity and pick up a smoky nuance with air. Fine-grained tannins come on late, adding grip to the long smoke- and spice-accented finish. 91 Josh Raynolds, Vinous (2013).
