2022, Domaine de Villaine, RULLY, 1er Cru, 'Montpalais', BIO

Domaine notes: Even though the young Rully 1er Cru Monpalais vine is practically located in the heart of the Premiers Crus hill and benefits from a rather hot climate, we perceive on the nose a surprising aromatic freshness. This Montpalais 2022 is less exuberant than usual, more fine with floral notes that are very pleasant to smell, all wrapped up by a subtle presence of oak, very ethereal and floral. The palate remains fresh, almost caressing and appetising. The flavours are rich and seductive, with the oak from the barrels and demi-muids not being so noticeable. As for the finish, it remains, deep without any signs of heat nor tiredness from the wine. A wine happy to be drunk today.
