Three plots, Echards, Petit Gamets and Petits Poisets the latter sometimes made apart but there was not enough in 2024. 10% new wood, all de-stemmed. A bright and cheerful cherry red. Lively fresh red berry fruits, plus cherry, seamless across the palate, high class winemaking, just enough tannin to give some grip behind, and properly long. Drink from 2028-2032.

The 2024 Volnay Village is a blend of three lieux-dits and raised in 10% new oak. This has a perfumed, floral bouquet with wilted roses and peony infusing the red fruit. The palate is well balanced with crunchy red fruit, cranberry and strawberry, quite earthy towards the finish. It should meld together nicely with time in bottle.
