Another of the would-be grand crus - Rugiens sits just a bit higher up on the Volnay side.
Deep ruby. Slightly reductive nose. Round, mineral attack. Fine, long, finish, textured.Concentrated, elegant and mineral.

100% whole bunch vinification, made in 2 x 400 litre ceramic, 114 globe, 5 new barrels, all from different coopers, and 2 older barrels. More important is the blend: mid purple, a robust raspberry fruit, more grape than stem here. Very harmoniouswith a beautiful flowing red berry and cherry fruit with white pepper at the finish. Persistent and harmonious. Drink from 2033-2040.
