2022, Maison Benjamin Leroux, NUITS-SAINT-GEORGES, Village

The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Village has a well-defined bouquet with pretty red cherries and crushed strawberry fruit, with subtle sous-bois in the background. The medium-bodied palate has slightly dry tannins and good weight on the mid-palate, with a soft landing on the finish. Fine, approachable. 87-89 Neal Martin, Vinous (2023).

From Les Tuyaux, Herbues, Fleurières, all destemmed. Pretty mid purple. This is more in red fruit than black, with good body and excellent length. A very nice example reflecting its mostly northern Nuits provenance. **** 90-91 Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy (2023).
