2022, Maison Benjamin Leroux, CHAMBOLLE-MUSIGNY, Village

The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Village has a light but well-defined bouquet with rose petals infusing the slightly tertiary red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, touches of Earl Grey seeping through the red fruit. The one-third whole bunches impart a light pepperiness on the slightly green finish. Medium colour. An elegant Chambolle nose, light red fruit and violets, entirely uncooked. The fruit builds to the back of the palate, a richer raspberry with a strawberry note alongside, adequate acidity, few tannins and good length.
