The Pinots Furstentum Grand Cru is a co-ferment of two-thirds Pinot Gris and one-third Pinot Blanc. Just subtle, cool wax appears shyly on the nose. This was made in smaller barrels, about 20% new, explaining that smoky oak touch. The palate is juicy with ripe Comice and Williams pear, enfolded by that oak smokiness, brimming with juiciness and checked by lemon. (Bone-Dry)
