2022, La Chablisienne, CHABLIS, 1er Cru, 'Beauroy'
Beauroy and a little Troemes
Here too there is a vague whiff of the exotic present on the dried white and yellow peach aromas that possess just enough classic Chablis nuances to be persuasive. The very rich, indeed opulent, medium weight flavours possess a caressing and fleshy mouthfeel, all wrapped in an interestingly textured finish that is at once creamy yet chalky. This too would benefit from having better depth.
89-91 Allen Meadows, Burghound.
An understated but broad nose – it brings the impression of much complexity. Large scale, slightly cushioned at the limits.
But bread and sweet/salt in the finish. That’s got a delicious finish – really super wine here!
