Peter Maude Fine Wines
2023, Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron, CHAMBOLLE-MUSIGNY, Village
50% of the blend is from Les Condemennes and 25% each is from Pas de Chat and Derrière le Four
A healthy mid purple. The bouquet is a little livelier than Fleurières. In fact, this is the more floral wine of the two, with slightly fresher red fruits. Plenty of energy across the palate, a good balance if tannin and light acidity, with a long flowing finish. Drink from 2028-2033.

The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Village is well-defined on the nose with touches of black truffle infusing the red berry fruit. This is a little higher toned than its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet entry. There's plenty of sucrosity here - the finish is smooth and slips down the throat easily.
88-90 Neal Martin, Vinous.
Blend of 3 plots. Nose a little hidden today. 20% new oak - well integrated. Quite floral palate with roses and a tiny bit of lavender with a touch of spice. Long, nice, texture.
