2024, Domaine Y. Clerget, BOURGOGNE Cote d'Or Pinot Noir

Three plots below Volnay, Durots, Longbois, En Coulezain. All destemmed, no new wood. A pretty mid ruby. Floral, yet with plenty of fruit behind. Done with a light hand. Sprightly, fresh tannins, good acidity, very cheerful pinot fruit to finish. Drink from 2027-2029.

A whiff of herbal tea character lurks in the background of the fresh and bright aromas of almost exclusively crushed red berries. On the palate there is good vibrancy and an almost delicate mouthfeel, all wrapped in a dusty and decidedly crisp finale.
