The 2024 Blagny la Piece Sous Le Bois 1er Cru is usually one of Leroux's strongest cuvées and in this vintage that viewpoint is unchanged: plenty of tightly wound brambly red fruit on the nose, showing more vigour than the Beaune Cents-Vignes before it. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, good weight and sappy red berry fruit with a bit of backbone on the finish. Very fine.
