2023, Domaine Jean-Luc Burguet, GEVREY-CHAMBERTIN, 'Symphonie'
Subtle but not imperceptible wood frames more deeply pitched aromas of plum, dark currant and newly turned earth. There is equally good freshness and verve suffusing the more concentrated, though not dense, middle weight flavours that conclude in a balanced and lingering finish that is more refined than usual. 88-91 Burghound (2025).
The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Symphonie is laced with sweet red cherry, blood orange, cinnamon and lavender. Layered and resonant, the 2023 is a total delight. This is a fine offering from a domaine now in its third generation. 90-92 Antonio Galloni.
The Gevrey Symphonie is from the area below and under the national road with vineyards like La Justice and Billiard. It's elegant, saline ... with a very refined and delicate fruit -impressive and delightful. What a treat with the refinement and delicacy! Very good. 89-90 Steen Ohman, Winehog.
