From the fruit of 5 climats: Plateaux, Belles Croix, Fleurières, Brûlées, and Chaliots. Mostly on the Premeaux side at the bottom of the hills.
Bright mid purple. A heady ripe nose, tastes like a sunnier year despite not picking late and keeping a sensible degree. Plenty of energy on the palate, fresh plums and vivid dark raspberries, with good length. Bottled in September. Drink from 2028-2033. Tasted Nov 2024.
**** 91 Jasper Morris MW.
A riper yet still fresh nose reflected notes of various dark berries, poached plum and more prominent earth influence. As one would reasonably expect, there is notably more volume, if less minerality to the succulent and quite rich medium weight flavors that conclude in a mildly rustic and austere finale. This is a quality Nuits villages and worth considering. Tasted Jan 2025. Outstanding.

Extra floral perfume – this nose has energy. More composed but also more delicious depth of flavour. The texture of velour- the tannin barely visible and certainly without grain. This has extra sophistication - it’s a great ‘villages'.
