Beaulieu Vineyard Reserve wines are handcrafted from the finest grapes of the vintage, focusing on our premier estates in Rutherford, Carneros, and other Napa Valley appellations. Our Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon has been widely recognised as the benchmark Cabernet Sauvignon from Rutherford since its inaugural vintage in 1936. Our understanding of terroir comes from more than 100 years of creating rich, classic Napa Valley wines.

The winter of 2022 was warm and dry. Rain and cooler weather arrived toward the end of March. The mild spring brought a promising early beginning, while the summer surprised us with cool mornings and warmer afternoons. As a result, the harvest produced smaller berries with concentrated flavours and remarkable acidity, resulting in balanced, excellent wines.
Domaine notes.

Power and grace come together beautifully in this long-running classic from a 125-year-old Napa winery. So rich, layered, structured and age-worthy. Now blended with about 20% of grapes grown in different locations around the valley but centred on Rutherford-grown fruit. The addition of 9% petit verdot gives an inky dark component and floral, violet accents. Drinkable now, but best from 2030.
96 James Suckling.

Subtle aromatics of red-berry fruit and cedarwood spice lift from the glass, offering an inviting entry. Bold and medium-to full-bodied, the palate is layered with concentrated black cherry, blackberry, and spiced black currants, complemented by toasty vanilla-laced cedarwood and toasted fennel. The finish is lengthy and spice-driven, showcasing depth, structure, and a well-integrated balance of fruit and oak—a powerful yet refined expression. Grapes were sourced from the western bench of the Rutherford AVA from BV Ranches No. 1 and No. 2, originally planted by Georges de Latour in the early 1900s. Drinking 2025 - 2035.
95 Jonathan Cristaldi, Decanter

Medium intensity ruby red, this is concentrated, nuanced, with ripe blackberry and damson hedgerow fruits, liqourice root and cocoa bean, touch of espresso and crayon, highlights the ripeness and confidence of Napa Cabernet, great stuff. Nate Weis winemaker. 95% new oak for ageing
