Grand cru with soil of fine clay and limestone. On a moderate incline, facing due east. 50% new oak.
Ripe fruit, super-concentrated. This has the grand cru finesse with great depth & concentration. Fine textured, full, round smooth finish with chocolate & spice notes - good Echezeaux characters. ***** JK 26/5/23.
Heavy and intense this is a masculine wine, tightly wound at the present time. Slightly smoky with liquorice with a hint of mint and candied orange. Exotic, rich and full bodied with a lingering dry finish. Jo Charvill 26/5/23.
