2024, Clos Floridène, GRAVES Blanc
$31.05 inc. GST
Exotic fruits, apricot and white peach aromatics, nectarine juice and citrus, this is very tasty, with slate kick and lift, and is a consistent performer in white Bordeaux. 92, Jane Anson
The 2024 Clos Floridene Blanc has a clean and fresh, sea spray-tinged bouquet with good complexity and hints of Vervain in the background. The palate is well balanced, crisp and poised, with fine weight and a tang of orange rind and peach skin toward the finish. Given the price, this comes highly recommended. 91-93, Neal Martin, Vinous.
Oily and textured in the glass, the 2024 Clos Floridène Blanc offers up scents of mint, apricot, dried flowers, chamomile and spice, with light tropical overtones that hold it all together. This is a gorgeous dry white from the Dubourdieu family. 90-92, Antonio Galloni, Vinous.
A restrained and mineral-driven expression of the Graves style. Subtle aromas of ripe citrus and orchard fruit are backed by a textured palate with a bitter, phenolic edge that brings structure. Quietly serious rather than showy, with elegance and potential to age. 90, Valeria Tenison, Decanter.
