2024, Château Sénéjac, HAUT-MÉDOC
$25.30 inc. GST
Last year EP $23.50-
Bordeaux Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot.
This is a most delicious easy drinking style and a big PMFW favourite. Fully biodynamic now, and winemaking is overseen by the Pontet Canet team. Exceptional value.
The 2024 Sénéjac has an upfront bouquet with brambly red fruit, briar and light pencil shavings scents, which are cohesive and attractive. The palate is medium-bodied with finely-knit tannins. Certainly one of the more elegant Haut-Médoc wines this vintage, with a pretty pastille-like finish. 2028-2039.
88-90 Neal Martin, Vinous.
Sandalwood and cedar on the opening, brambled fruits, white pepper, with juiciness on the finish. 48hl/h yield, 20% new oak for ageing.
