Sangiovese 100%. “Casa-Matta”: the “Crazy-House”. Reflects the freshness, transparency and strength of the red fruit of Sangiovese variety. Entirely vinified in steel in order to preserve its vibrant and playful character. Plenty of cherry and raspberry, nice acidity which helps with food and a round medium body with low tannins and a vibrant finish.

The 2022 Casamatta is a fruit-forward and jovial wine, with a burst of black cherries and strawberries up front giving way to a cascade of baking spice and licorice. It’s soft and round with juicy acidity and crisp wild berry fruits. Violet inner florals resonate over a coating of subtle grippy tannins as this tapers off with medium length and a steely mineral sensation. 90 Eric Guido, Vinous (2025).
