Centre of the vineyard opposite Bâtard, lots of stones here.
A vague suggestion of the exotic. There is fine volume and concentration to the bigger-bodied and more powerful, if less mineral-driven, flavours that deliver excellent persistence on the balanced, clean and nicely dry finale. Blain Criots has a fine aging track record. 2033+
93 Burghound.
Extra breadth of aroma – floral high tones with riper yellow citrus in support. That’s really broad and the most mineral yet – coupling the minerality to a generosity – but still plenty of balancing acidity. It’s the minerality that’s the key to this concentrated wine – it’s lovely!!

East and South-East exposure. As such must pay careful attention to ripening as can change from ripe to overripe quickly. Mid-gold colour. Charming nose. Flowers, peaches, fine and delicious attack. Complex, rich yet approachable. Early drinking vintage.
