2023, Domaine Pernot Belicard, PULIGNY-MONTRACHET, 'Composition Parcellaire'
$144.90 inc. GST
Assemblage from across the village. 35-80 old vines. 20% new oak.
Vines on the Chassagne and Meursault sides bookend multiple parcels closer to the village – a view of the breadth of Puligny here. Here we have an inviting floral perfume. Expansive, a little more structured in architecture. Less mineral [than the Meursault] but more intense with a juicy citrus finishing character.

7 plots. Mixed ages, mixed locations, mixed rootstocks. Pale colour, and nose taking some teasing out. Pure white fruit on the palate, a slightly more reductive feel at the finish, which builds complexity and tension. Still very youthful, but with promise. Drink from 2027-2031.
**** 89-92 Jasper Morris MW.
The final blend is a good representation of the appellation. With different rootstock, soil etc. Pale greeny gold. Lovely floral, creamy brioche nose. A little lilac. Lots of stone fruit, beautiful acidity, salty with long finish. Moreish.
