2022, Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret, GRANDS-ECHEZEAUX, Grand Cru

This is a brilliant wine in the constellation of top Vosne-Romanée/Flagey-Echézeaux grands crus.

With 1.44 hectares this domaine is the second largest owner – ‘Making a massive wine that needs the oak to sculpt the colossus!’
A creamy framed red fruit – very elegant. Hmm, also in the mouth; seductive, beautifully textured and very, very elegant – creamy finishing but these barrels are not distracting despite the elegance of the wine – another that’s a completely delicious wine. It’s hauntingly long too…
