The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Champ Gain 1er Cru has a reductive nose, maybe a little more than I would have liked, as it suppressed the terroir expression at the moment. The palate is also somewhat reductive, so that, perversely, I am actually more drawn to the Village Cru. 88-90 Neal Martin, Vinous (2023).
