Aromas of licorice, dark berries, spices and cassis preface the 2022 La Vieille Cure, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy, fruit-driven wine framed by velvety tannins. It's nicely balanced, with a fresh and elegant finish. This is a blend of 78% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. 88-90 Yohan Castaing, Wine Advocate.
Carefully delivered damson and black cherry fruit layered with grilled vanilla bean, charred liqourice root and apricot pit, plenty of texture and depth, high volume, these are plush dramatic wines in the vintage, full of impact. 92 Jane Anson.
