A little more purple in the colour (than Fourneaux) and the fruit digs down deeper. Fully ripe cherry, but without the easy sucrosity, which shows over-ripeness. Quite complex, a little reductive touch, middleweight with a balanced finish. *** 88-91 Jasper Morris MW

Pretty floral nuances include those of peony, violet and lavender on the more elegant aromas of both red and dark currant along with spice wisps.
