2018, Tenuta Luce, Brunello di Montalcino, DOCG

Raspberries, almonds, caramel and herbal touches. Taught and tense but where the structure overtakes the fruit and acidity leaving a wide frame and not many layers. Feels a little brutish, missing some charm and fruit density. At 15% it's on the heavier end, and it's apparent on the palate leaving some harshness in terms of heat and tannic hold with leather, ash, tobacco and graphite. 89 Georgina Hindle, Decanter.
